India Reduces Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices by Up to Rs 183.50 from July 1, Bringing Relief to Businesses
Oil marketing companies have reduced the prices of 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinders by up to Rs 183.50 from July 1, 2026. The revised rates bring relief to hotels, restaurants, and food businesses across major cities, while household LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged at Rs 942 in Delhi.
Following the revision, the price of a 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has been reduced from Rs 3,113.50 to Rs 2,930. In Mumbai, the revised price stands at Rs 2,885, while consumers in Kolkata will pay Rs 3,081. In Chennai, the new rate has been fixed at Rs 3,099. Oil marketing companies have also reduced the price of the 5-kilogram free trade LPG cylinder by Rs 13, bringing its retail price in the national capital to Rs 808.50.
The latest reduction comes after commercial LPG prices had witnessed sharp increases amid global geopolitical tensions, placing additional financial pressure on businesses that rely heavily on LPG for daily operations. The revised prices are expected to provide immediate cost relief to commercial food establishments and other enterprises dependent on commercial LPG cylinders.
However, there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders. The price of the household LPG cylinder continues to remain at Rs 942 in Delhi, indicating that the latest revision is limited only to commercial and free trade LPG cylinders.
The reduction in commercial LPG prices marks an important development for the hospitality and food service sectors, offering relief from elevated operating costs while maintaining unchanged domestic LPG prices for household consumers.
